Pikeys try to set fire to TG's desk.
« on: March 11, 2008, 11:53:22 AM »
The fire started in a building next to an empty 5 storey Victorian factory unit that is about 50ft from my desk. Some pikey's (allegedly) have been using cutting equipment to remove anything metallic from the building for the last couple of weeks.

The fact is if the fire brigade hadnt got the fire out quickly it would have spread to the 5 storey building and i would prolly be typing this from home.

Fire started about a half hour after they left.

Note the article mentions another major fire across the road. Also a disused Victorian unit.

Funny thing is these buildings and others around here are :

A/ Listed
B/ Empty
C/ In a major redevelopment / regeneration area

Funny how these old buildings spontaneously combust ain't it?

The pikeys (allagedly) were last seen this morning lurking a couple of hundred yards from the building looking somewhat nervous.  point:

You are surely not thinking that perhaps the owners/developers and certain council members are walking round with a can of petrol and a box of matches are you?
Tsk .... you must be reading too much Private Eye.
