Manchester Chief Constable went walking in Snowdonia yesterday. He was, we are told, off duty. He didn't come back and they searched all night and most of today until they found a body this late afternoon.
Maybe I am a cynic but several questions spring to mind.
Manc Police as anyone who reads Private Eye and other such will be aware are not exactly whiter than white.
What was/ is about to hit the fan I wonder?
I mean do we really believe that anyone capable of being a Chief Constable would be stupid  enough to go hill walking in Snowdonia given yesterday's weather forecast?
I shall be watching Manchester News with great interest over the coming days but I bet the buggers try to cover it up with stories of a suspected heart attack etc.

The head of one of the biggest police forces in Britain has been found dead.

Michael Todd, the Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police, disappeared while out walking on Snowdon, north Wales, on Monday night.

Rescue teams found the 50-year-old's body on part of the mountain called Bwlch Glas on Tuesday afternoon.

The cause of his death is not yet known but suicide is understood to be one line of inquiry. Letters addressed to his family were also found.
