Mrs TMR (to be) was meant to be leaving on 31st July. She has been told to go today. No longer will I be able to gaze upon her beauty in the office.  sad24:

I feel a longer lunch approaching.

You'll appreciate her more when you get home each day...  eyes:

No need - we've just had a snog in the B&Q car park whilst sharing a bacon and egg butty. Romantic, huh?  lol:

Tsk, tsk.

We met there as now Mrs TMR (to be) is no longer gainfully employed, she has decided to do some decorating and the garden. After the breakfast bap we bought the paint and then when to the gardening section. A kindly old white haired B+Q came up to me and said "do you want decking?". Luckily, I got my punch in first and dropped him, but it just goes to show how careful you have to be these days.

I am entertaining myself today by locking out certain user accounts. Then, when they phone, I ask them to unplug the network cable and leave it "dangling downwards, because the network is full and this helps to drain it".
After ten minutes or so, I unlock their account and tell then to put the network cable back in.

Voila - it all works again.

You know you could have some real fun with remote access and a keymapping program TMR.....  eyes:

Whenever I install a system I connect up the modem and test it on my laptop.

Then I unplug the LAN cable, put my thumb over the RJ45 connector and hand it to the customer to connect to their own PC. "keep your thumb over the end so all the broadband doesn't drain out"...

It is surprising how many actually do it...  point:

One of our "better" code monkeys was having slow response times. I suggested clearing out all his .tmp files using "del c:\*.tmp f/s/q". The silly sod put a space before the asterisk...

...The rest is legend. :-)

Wait till someone locks their computer to go on a break, then go into it and take a screenshot of the desktop. Shut all the programs down, get rid of their icons and hide the taskbar. Then replace the desktop background with the screenshot you took. You can have great fun watching them try and work out what the hell has happened to their machine.
