Spencer. Not famous, but I met him and he was a nice bloke, getting over his drink and drug habit. Chucked himself off a bridge onto the M3. Horrible :-(

Sorry to hear about the loss TMR. Despite being in a "bad place" previously, he obviously found himself in a worse place of late. My thoughts go out to all those that knew him and will be affected by his passing on

Sorry to hear that TMR - takes a certain amount of courage to take your own life and all of us that moan about 'our lot' should remember how bad it could be...

I think it is sad that suicide is such a taboo subject - mainly for religious reasons - which forces people like Spencer to take such drastic measure and leaves people like JOM to clear up the mess...

I think it should be open to all of us to terminate our life painlessly when we've had enough of it.

And another from the pub. Ray the Belly, who was 76 last Tuesday. Lovely man.

Shame about Spencer, Steve was only talking about him the other day.

Sad about Ray, a nice guy.

A remember as a 13/14 year old watching one land at an airshow at Heaon Park, Manchester, awesome. I got goosebumps watching it bow its way out on the news this evening

The government would have us believe that this is a military move, this from the Skynews site "Despite protests from the highest levels of the Army, the Royal Navy and the RAF, the move to scrap the jets in order to save £100m remained in place. The Government insisted it was a "military judgment" and not just about costs.
