I heard that on the news this morning and I started to think of the lyrics ... imagine him sitting there, fountain pen in hand  rubschin:

"You, you are nothing but a dog, a dog crying whenever I gaze upon you"

No, that's not right ... we need some double negatives in there. Double negatives are hip and cool allegedly  8)

You ain't nothin' but a hound dog
Cryin' all the time
You ain't nothin' but a hound dog
Cryin' all the time
Well, you ain't never caught a rabbit
And you ain't no friend of mine

Well they said you was high-classed
Well, that was just a lie
Yeah they said you was high-classed
Well, that was just a lie
Well, you ain't never caught a rabbit
And you ain't no friend of mine

Who? Leiber? Stoller? Or Elvis?

The hound.

You can see why Snoopy is always tense.

Also:
Grammy-winning Blues musician David "Honey Boy" Edwards, believed to be the oldest surviving Delta bluesman and whose roots stretched back to blues legend Robert Johnson, died early Monday in his Chicago home, his manager said. He was 96.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

A good age that I aspire to reach.

This gives me confidence that it may be possible:

Edwards had a weak heart and his health seriously declined in May, when the guitarist had to cancel concerts scheduled through November, said his longtime manager, Michael Frank of Earwig Music Company.
