Sincere condolensces Miss D.

I went through similar with a friend recently. I still get upset about how he lingered (he always was a stubborn old sod) but take great pleasure from the good times we shared together

Very sorry to hear the news Miss D ~ so terrible for all concerned.

My thoughts are with you.

Thanks everyone - it is the lingering that is the worst. To watch her decline so quickly over the past few months has been awful. So I feel mainly relief today. Which is a bit bizarre - the grief will no doubt present itself at the funeral and I am not looking forward to that.

Sincerely moved to tears the first time I saw this, although the soundtrack is based on Puccini's Forza del Destino

I'm buying the next round  of drinks - I know it's early on a Sunday morning but anyone fancy raising a toast to a very dear friend of mine who died this morning from cancer, will be welcome .

She was the loveliest person and I will miss her  sad32: sad32: sad32:

Sorry to hear your news my dear. You must concentrate on the happy memories now and put your efforts into supporting the immediate family.

I am sure you will be a rock for them.

For those who like me were deeply upset by his death it is 50 years (and two days) since The Day The Music Died

For those too young to know what I am talking about ~ you had to have been there.

"Bearders" is no more.

Bill Frindall, who died yesterday aged 69, was from 1966 the scorer for Test Match Special on BBC Radio, nicknamed "The Bearded Wonder" for his lustrous facial hair and encyclopedic knowledge of cricket facts.
