I learnt today of the death of my old football teacher at school, George Robb. Lovely chap, played for Spurs and England in his prime.



Edit:
And what got missed off the post (see what I did there?), was that for us at the time he was just some old boy teaching us a thing or two about footie. Little did we know that he'd made 200+ appearances for Spurs, scored 50+ times, played for England in the Olympics etc ... shallow youths that we were in the presence of a true professional  noooo:

Loosely connected... I heard a story today of a guy being made to feel a little old last night when his daughter asked him, "Dad, why is the bloke off the crisps adverts introducing football"  ;D
