Edwin Starr  rubschin:

Why would he move in round the corner from my mum and then die in his bath??

It's a mystery  rubschin:

Which part is the mystery? Moving into the Nick zone or death by Archimedes?
I mostly despair

When I first read it I thought, "awww, poor Edwin Starr", quickly followed by, "hang on, he's already died once"

Met him once ~ lovely bloke ....... The glasses he always wore had no glass in them, they were a way of disguising hearing aids.
He used to put his finger through the "glass" to rub his eyes.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

As said above, a comedy genius. I've been watching episodes of "Sykes" on Dave or similar channel over the  last few weekend mornings. Pure comedy class

Yep   ^^^

Was trying to remember when I first became aware of him... prolly The Plank, but not the film, the sketch in "Eric Sykes and A ... " in the 60's.
