Well I wouldn't have unless I knew his daughters
My pal Sally Gutteridge posted this on Faceacheo very sad to hear this news . Such a huge part of my life . Great pals with my dad and his hero . Perhaps they can share stories on a cloud . I still believe he gave dad an extra 20 years of life . Dad was very ill in hospital and refused visitors . Ali was in London and immediately came to his bedside . Dad woke up to find him praying and holding his hand . He thought he was hallucinating . But then he recovered . Not a miracle or gift from God but a sudden realisation that life was worth fighting for . I'm so grateful for that . He lived on to see 2 daughters marry , 4 grandsons , get an OBE and a This is your life tribute . Sorry I'm feeling emotional and this is ending up an Obit for dad . Of course today is the time to remember the life of a sporting giant and all round great man. Sleep well big man Her dad was Reg Gutteridge, commentator
