Tornado GR4 leaves service

One of 3 aircraft (with Typhoon and F-18) that I earned most of what passes for my crust on over the years
Are the Typhoons fully operational yet...?
They can obviously fly out of Akrotiri (noisy bastards) with certain weapon loads but can they carry everything...?
Well once upon a time I knew and it was classified - not least because in the early operational days it very much couldn't carry and usefully release
everything Over the years they will have cleared all the important stuff and pared down the list of operational weapons but it is a difficult process to properly integrate and get flight clearance for stores on combat aircraft. Amongst other things, the aerodynamic interactions are not simple to model and much testing is required. It's not funny when a bomb that's just been released tries to climb upwards or hits other released weapons.
However you really wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of what a Typhoon can carry past most air defences
As for Tornado it really spanned my career. It first flew just after I started my aerospace work and outlasted my time in the business. Even though we've taken it out of service, the Germans, Italians and Saudis will be fliyng them for a few years yet - but then they've not used them like we have so their airframes are well less fatigued.
