Clive James

Must admit I thought he had died some while ago
Whenever we had death list competitions I was quick to pick him for my list.  What a fighter he was but more than that what an observational journalist, unequalled IMHO

Years ago I read his first autobiography and it's a brilliant read both bitterly poignant at times and hilariously funny at others

RIP
Well, whatever, nevermind

Roy Orbison for me.  Still at his peak, no element of self infliction and a very decent bloke by all accounts

Forward looking is a bit difficult with uncertainty on timing but I'd place Neil Young or Bob Dylan way ahead of Elton John and looking wider I'd be extremely upset if say Lewis Hamilton had an untimely end this coming GP weekend
Well, whatever, nevermind

Bowie was a shock for me too, as was George Michael

Sir Ian McKellen will be greatly missed if he beats me to it

Both him and Sir Patrick Stewart. If you get the chance to see them on stage together it's well worth going.  Thumbs:
