We had lamb and it was gorgeous! Also enough for sandwiches then I boiled the leg up and some of the left over meat and we had stew and dumplings.  cloud9:

Don’t you fancy a nibble on Wenchy’s dumplings then?  whistle:

Not at the moment thanks .... I only need a light snack at this time of the day.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Venison tonight.

Do you reckon you could make a sorty of edible Bubble and Squak with all the usual ingredients + butter beans? Or would that be  sick2:?

I think that would work well actually. The butter beans would mash and mingle.

Butter Beans mashed are a recommended substitute for potato for those striving for a low GI diet. I often use them and they are very nice .... The boys however say  sick2:

I didn't say it was but it is a good substitute and is probably an older recipe than mashed potato. After all we grew beans in the UK long before the blasted potato arrived.
