As I lay upon a grassy bank

My hands were all a quiver

I slowly removed her suspender belt

and her leg fell in the river.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

As I lay upon a grassy bank

My hands were all a quiver

I slowly removed her suspender belt

and her leg fell in the river.

I dreamed of everlasting love

Through summers, springs and winters.

I slid my hand along her thigh

but all I got was splinters.
I mostly despair
