Guide Dogs for the Blind
« on: April 09, 2008, 10:12:55 AM »
A mate of mine used to be head of fundraising for them. There was a division within between "helping blind people" and "showing cute labrador puppies".The fundraisers said the latter were the winners. They still are.

It costs £2000 to train a Guide Dog in Switzerland and £3000 in the USA. Here it costs £35000.

Why?

That would be the country house, the staff restaurant, the company BMWs.

GDfTB were prevented from fund raising by the Charity Commission for three years cos they had £54million in the bank from puppy lovers.

Utterly corrupt

If you think that is a scam take a look at Oxfam.

You can get to them via the Charity Commissioners.

It's the salaries and cars etc ~ again. BUT all big charities end up like this. I amazed that G Brown didn't whack a windfall tax on them too.

Unfortunately that would be political suicide Snoop as most people are completely oblivious to where a large part of the charity's income ends up going.
