All sweets.  sad24:

I cut out caffine next week too.  sad24:
Not nicotine tho, eh?  ;)

Don't remind me. Smoking was the only thing that got me through the withdrawl period last time.
I take it the Homeopathy isn't working then?  noooo:

I share your plight Wenchy, I havent had any chocolate for 3 weeks and 2 days, the doctor told me to cut out one of my 2 main vices, cheese and chocolate, in order to get me off the statins,

I long for a topic bar

if my cholesterol hasn't dropped next blood test i'm having an orgy with some Mars Bars.. whistle: whistle: whistle:

Statins : Don't get me started  cussing:

I have taken this "wonder drug" for years. Makes me ache (like flu), makes me miserable, makes me depressed. So they gave me painkillers, they gave me a psychotherapist, they gave me Valium. They gave me more statins , progressing to ever more "aggressive" varieties and larger doses. Finally I said "Enough is enough" and asked one sympathetic doctor to go back through the notes (Oh how they hate having to actually read the notes rather than just add to them!) In all the time of increased dosage and the deployment of more "aggressive" varieties my cholesterol level had not dropped at all. That is over a period of ten years! So the sympathetic Doctor said "What do you think we should do?" and I replied reduce the statin to the lowest possible dose and see if that makes all my aches and pains go away. In the main it worked. I now take just 10mg Simvastatin a day supplemented with 10mg Ezetimibe (which attacks the cholesterol problem from a different angle) and all doctors at Cardiac Clinic and Diabetes Clinic and GPs practice are AMAZED that my cholesterol levels are, at long last, "Good". All thanks to a sensible (ie non brainwashed) old fashioned locum brought out of retirement for a few weeks to solve a shortage of GPs when most of the practice went down with the flu.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
