Should you ever be near a Beef Eater

try the sea bass.. had some yesterday, it was really good, should be for £13.

Because it was bass I expected it to look at me and start singing like those novelty ones

Think yourself lucky £13 is a good price for Bass.
If you go to Padstow Rick Stein would charge you £28

There is a reason for that though Snoop. The Bass you get at Stein's will be as fresh as possible as he gets a lot of his stock directly from the fishing boats when they come in. Beefeater Bass will have been frozen.

We eat Bass regularly, in season. I catch it  ;) Cost ........ a few lob worms.

There are a number of Rainbow Trout (each 2lb+) in the freezer which I caught too.

Had a nice Plaice a couple of years back, off the pier at Bangor. Fried up lovely that did .... 'nough for two of us and only an hour from sea to kitchen.

And do not believe all that Mr Stein claims ..... he has several F. O.  sized freezers out the back.
