Contextual photo on the earlier Phoenix landing post.

Although it looks like it's heading straight into the crater it's actually some 20 kilometres in front of it.

When you consider that was taken from orbit and everything is moving at thousands of miles an hour in different directions that is quite an amazing pic.

And that Mars is well over 100 million miles away at the moment and the robot craft taking the picture had to be programmed to point it's cameras in the right direction based on the projected trajectory of the Phoenix lsnder.
