No there was no use of superglue or wires or double sided sticky tape or staples or anything like that - it was sheer grit and determination that as the oldest there (even outdated the damn instructor by at least 15 years) and obviously representing the VP wrinkly club I was going to give it a jolly good bash......................Personally I think the youngeys had problems gripping the pole (oh err mister) cos they don't have thigh muscel strength due to lack of walking skills like wot we have  eeek:
