Watched The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare last night...

Quite an amusing 'A-Team' type romp rather than a historical documentary...  Thumbs:

I enjoyed it for what it was but I'd still love to see Christopher Nolan direct a version. Apparently they is already talk about an Anders Lassen spin off.
The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.

Watched The Zone of Interest last night...

Amazing film, more amazing having been there a couple of weeks ago... There are some subtleties that I prolly wouldn't have picked up otherwise...

The only strange thing is that they implied Rudolf Höss was ill towards the end of the film... You might suppose that he died of natural causes but in fact he was tried and hanged for his crimes...   rubschin:

Just read the synopsis and his life story.  An amazing but appalling life.  I can see why you watched the film, it's highly rated.  Doubt I will though.

It is brilliantly done, the horror of the death camp is presented in the sound track only...

Watched Find Me Falling last night...

Nice, cutesy film but set in Cyprus... Quite amusing to see the Cypriot character well portrayed (and the dialect, oy for 'no' instead of the Greek ochi for instance)... Shame there wasn't more Cypriot scenery though, most of it was set in a shack on the cliff edge that was built by a local company, Windowrama...  lol:

Clever premise.  What was Connick Jr like as an actor?

Amazingly the streets had no old men driving ancient double-cabs or youngsters doing wheelies on motorbikes...  rubschin:
