DIY triumph
« on: June 01, 2008, 05:04:46 PM »
I did some DIY today. It involved a trip to a DIYT shop, three screwdrivers and my neighbour's chisel.

It worked and I didn't cut myself.

Doesn't seem right somehow. rubschin:

Well done ~ I knew I should have called in.

I could have said things like "Oh, I wouldn't do it like that if I were you" and "You should do it like that you know". eveilgrin:

Well done Nick.

I bottled out yesterday and had the chippies in; a longstanding arrangement concerning bedroom cupboards and storage. Fine job they did too and one that would have had me falling off the learning curve more times than a pi$$ artist on a slippery pole.

They left yesterday late afternoon; I asked if it was ok to sleep in there, what with the smell of paint etc.... Yeah, no problem. I quite like the smell of paint.. sort o' clean smell said Andy.

I awoke this morning at 9:30 ... feeling slightly drugged  noooo:

Wrongly encouraged by yesterday's success Mrs Nick had me doing another job with a light switch.I said it had ti wait till daylight. I swtiched the leccy off and commenced work. Mrs Nick wanted to use the computer so she switched the leccy back on again (absent-mindedly like  evil:)

She can get a main in next time  evil:

Ok, what did you intend to create? What did you actually build? And has a passing sparrow been able to land on it without it collapsing?  whistle:
