I bought some eggs from Sainsbury's at the weekend.

They are blue.  rubschin:

What sort of eggs? How much did you pay? By blue I am assuming you mean the shells and not the content. Most likely you have picked up some expensive "rare" breed eggs. They are very popular ~ a nearby shop makes a fortune from them as does the local enterprising teenager who has the rare breeds of hens on his father's farm,

I buy those ones. They taste the closest to the ones a work colleague gives us.

Shells are blue and are some rare breed thingy.

Tellingly they were marked down below £1 for half dozen even though they were a week before the sell by dates. One imagines the plebs coming along taking one look and saying "Eek! blue eggs, I ain't feeding them foreign genetically engineered things to my children" whereas TG comes along and says "ooh, blue eggs, another delightful culinary experience to savour and they are fucking cheap as well."

I had eggs on toast for breakfast yesterday. A normal one and a blue one. The blue one was definitely tastier.  cloud9:

Gotta agree on the blue ones. we use to get them from Waitrose. These days I get them from the local wood yard, he has 3 or 4 dozen chickens running around, 2nd best eggs I've ever tasted. I picked up a dozen this morning, all covered in s**t and feathers, but it soon washes off. So, it's ham, egg and chips tonight. We use to keep pekin bantams, fed them on corn, nowe they were eggs to savour  cloud9:

That is not an egg!

Can't have one without the other but don't ask me which came first. (Unless it was an Essex hen!!)
