Have they done DNA tests?

Are all the feet from the same person?

Being careful about how I say this, it appears that none of the feet is from the same person apart from the fact that singly, each of the feet is from one person. Got that?

No.

Step back a bit - this is Canada and all they understand is bad lager, lumberjacking and moose-fu(king. Are we sure that Heather McCartney-Mills hasn't been swimming in the area and lost bits of her prosthetics?

Equally odd in this story is what they're not saying.
What brand of trainer?
Sold in which country?
What's the foot size?
Pink, fluffy, girly trainer or butch, macho bloke's trainer?
What's the ethnicity of the feet then?

So many questions, so little time...  rubschin:

Absolutely.

Were they all Left or Right?

Were the nails painted?

Did they have Verrucas

Were the toes hairy

Did they have TMR scabby bits?
I mostly despair

Were they all Left or Right?

The current count is 5 x dexter, 1 x sinister, which is just over halfway to the percentage of righthanders to lefthanders. Hope that helps DS  ;)

Various theories are being advanced. Tsunami victims is one. Another is that the remains are from an aircrash or ship sinking. Given the way those yellow ducks have travelled the world's oceans the feet could have come from anywhere. One idea is that the feet have survived because of the trainers which have the usual cushion soles. These, it is said, contain lots of air bubbles which is why the feet have not sunk to the bottom of the oceans and been devoured with the rest of the bodies but have floated around near or on the surface until coming ashore.
I shall be interested to read the results of DNA tests etc which should establish many answers but as far as I am aware they Canadian authorities have not yet said if the feet are white, black, asian or whatever.
