Money saving trip
« on: June 18, 2008, 12:08:34 PM »
The Boy went off to the Cheshire Show yesterday to "perform" with the school orchestra. They were allowed to take up to £5 to spend so I put the money in his school bag.

Going to pick him up later there were armies of kids laden down with every imaginable form of tat: giant inflatable hammers, furry things on sticks, fluorescent teddy bears and so on. Not The Boy. Turns out he had left his school bag and money at school  point:

He had toured the stalls anyway and had bagged LOADS of free stuff: pens, pencils, a rucksack, new water bottle, scratch cards, keyrings.

Meanie! He didn't have to tell you he'd forgotten it. For being truthful alone I'd have let him keep it.

His schoolbag has a money compartment.I put £2 in it every day. Yesterday I put £5 in it (in coins). For some reason he didn't check the money thingy before he left his bag at school. He had taken everything else out (lunch, coat, music) though not the pegs or money.

It's a sideline of Nicks that he picked up from the local Pikeys. He does lucky white heather in season too.
