He's just curous about his new surroundings. If you want hom to stay in one place get some catnip, that will keep him happy  whistle:

he is a little bit ickle to go in those, he flat out now after hours of darting round house, being eviled by the other cats who dont like him for some reason, he is so munchable an cute at mo, got him cat nip mouse he totally not interested!
he will be getting his bits chopped off in three months so that will keep him close to home!  eyes:
