My Kind Of Shopping
« on: June 21, 2008, 09:45:22 AM »
Before -

Mrs JOM - "Oh I'd love a few bits and pieces for the garden, let's have a look around the local garden centres, interior shops, and reclamation yards"
JOM - "Do we really have to, rugby's on"
Mrs JOM - "But I want your opinion"  (yeah right)

A minimum half a day is then spent trape-sing (buggered if I know how to spell it) around the aforementioned establishments, nodding yes when it seems appropriate, seeing 95% of the other males there looking as happy as me and also nodding when appropriate, and viewing other items of interest that might be in the shop at the same time eyes:. We usually end up back at the first shop getting the first item viewed because "all the others weren't as good as that one were they?"  Banghead

Now
Mrs JOM - "I thought you were never gonna get up, I've seen a few bits on e/bay and I've sent you the links, let me know what you think and put in bids on the ones you like"

Mrs JOM - Sigh... "Are you on that pub site again"
JOM - "No, I'm just checking YOU'VE not been outbid"

Job sorted, she's happy, I'm happy
LiFe - It's an "F" in lie

Don't you mean the "Are you wasting more time on that pub site again, again"

Two contenders for the unlikeliest pub name ever:
(i) In Lodge Road Southampton ~ The Honest Lawyer"

(ii)In Earl Sterndale, Buxton ~ The Quiet Woman

SWMBO says it is a horrid pub sign and should be taken down.  She says she can't see the point of it ~ even after I explained, in patient tones, that a silent woman must indeed be one who is headless.
tunble: Stoney Ground I'm afraid ~ still they served a decent pint last time I was there, which was some years ago.

Does that mean if we ever find an honest, quiet female lawyer the sky would fall? whistle:
The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.
