Well you know things being as tough as they are these days in the wallet department, Mr Bosse and I decided to set up a little garden in our garage growing weeds, 150 plants in total, went swimmingly for a number of years, then PC plod got a whif and came a knocking, end of the good life, although we got off quite lightly, just a leccy bill of over €4,000  sad24:

Dunno 'bout in Holland but in the UK the leccy companies now tip off the plod about anyone with a large bill. Large being relative to the size of property that is because the way prices are going we all have large bills anyway.

I gather that in the Netherlands whilst "licenced" cafes may sell weed one may not grow it ~ which seems a little odd.

All this talk of large bills will no doubt attract DS with a Duck joke or two ~ there now I've spoilt it for him  eveilgrin:

Ah ha, but we did not have a large bill, we were naughty and bypassed the metre  angel1, we only got the large bill as a fine when they realised what we'd been up to...........................................BAD GIRL

Just a note, weed is not legal in Holland, growing it, or smoking it, you may smoke it in cafés it is tolerated, but it is not legal. It is legal to purchase the stuff to grow it, but not to grow the seedlings or to actually grow them or smoke it.  rubschin:

That's what I love about Holland ~ they have a perfect sense of compromise about most things ..... just so long as you don't rock the boat.

The boat of tolerance ~ because of which I wasn't going to mention that a meter measures whereas a metre is a measurement  cool14:
