Liver... a 'food' of wrongness...  noooo:

Given the probable state of the livers of most of our group of posters even Hannibal Lecter would turn his nose up at them.

Not mine!  angel1

Send us a slice and I'll get the butcher brother to pass an opinion.

When I was a nipper he was never off the box.

You either watched him or went to bed.

You can't tell much from their site , but been there a few times, always done us proud

Been there a few times since and enjoyed it each time. Nice garden, friendly informative staff, always great food, (the chef trained under Heston Blumenthal), great decor, good quality cloth napkins etc

Went there today, the first warning was the grass loooked as though it hadn't been cut for weeks, nice to see a bowl of water out for dogs, pity that hadn't been touched for weeks, you could just about see the fag dimps at the bottom. Barman lad didn't have a clue, gave me two glasses without ice in (soft drinks) and one was ginger ale instead of ginger beer. The menu looked the same, as were the prices, but the food was way below average, poor quality meat, poorly cooked veg. Landlord and staff were dressed like bags of shite tied in the middle, and 10% of everybodies dinners were on their clothing. Toilet floors looked like they had had a swill in middle but around the edges and in the cormers was all sorts of debris. When I was asked if all was OK I asked if the pub had changed hands and was told that they had taken over three weeks ago, so I pointed out the differences and was offered complimentary desserts.... err, no thanks. It's gone from a pub I use to go out of my way to use to one I won't bother going in again  sad32:

That's a shame but it does prove that it is the landlord who makes the pub. I have seen so many leave the trade after making a fortune (yes it is possible) and then selling for a hefty price to somebody who thought they could do it too. Never works out.
