I've just cooked an authentic chicken curry from scratch with all the spices and chicken halal from the local Paki  Asian shop and very nice it was too...and enough for another meal tomorrow or the next day...but, it took an hour and a half to prepare and cook...then there was loads of washing and cleaning up...was it worth it?  rubschin:

There is something therapeutic about cooking...but I could have bought a chicken madras takeout for a fiver from the local Indian...and had a pint in the pub next door while I was waiting...
