Funnily enough we stopped off for a meal and the special of the day was tagliatelle with finferli mushtooms.  How does that happen that special of the day in an Italian small town restaurant is OK for us? 

Who cares, it was  cloud9:  and puts to shame the soggy tasteless stuff you get in Italian restaurants at home.

8 days of pigging it and tomorrow's rendezvous with the scales is much to be feared methinks
