A pinch of bicarbonate of soda added to cooking water should help to keep your runner beans green MissC (for the freezing). I used to have a recipe for runner bean chutney which was luvverly, but I can't find it at the mo. Will see if I can hunt it out for you.

Tonight we be avin prawn curry & potato pakoora made by a Pakistani friend of mine.
