I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

Was meant to be going to a footy match at Craven Cottage  eeek:  so was going to be burgers and pies  cloud9: - but think have successfully managed to duck out of this and am now considering menu options  rubschin:

The Brat is in a girls football team for the borough and they train there sometimes. They wanted the gerls to do some presentation thing on the pitch at half time hence the requirement to go to the game  noooo:

When my lot were younger and I was having to attend the usual rounds of Harvest festival celebrations and nativity plays I perfected the art of putting in an appearance, waving and then sneaking off until the end when I would dish out the usual gushing platitudes.  There really are only so many nativity plays one can do in any given year. One year eldest daughter was seaweed FFS not sure where that came into it but there you go.
