Chips are different. It's like people who don't like milk liking icecream.

Well he could have everything deep fried then, like the Scots. Brussels, carrots, salad, the lot....

Mushrooms too

They'd go soggy ~ I've tried it. The mushrooms need to be egg dipped and breadcrumbed for it to work and then you have to change the oil.

But chips are made of potatoes which are vegetables. And he doesn't like vegetables.

Yes Nick ~ we know that  ::)

He had some sort of allergy when a small child and the doctors told his mother that he could not properly digest meat fats therefore she put him onto a vegetarian regime (he was about two). He has eaten vegetarian food ever since and will not attempt meat or fish. He does eat cheese (DON'T tell me ~ I am aware that cheese is animal fat).
Beans/lentils/pulses that one would normally use to feed a non meat eater he does not like. Most green vegetables he will "toy" with but end up leaving. He does like Rice and Pasta (both Grain ~ before Nick tells me) but he is not keen on most of the things that one would normally put with rice or pasta. He eats Mushrooms and Squashes (Butternut being his favourite). Last week I made a risotto with wild mushrooms and butternut squash. He enjoyed it and actually we liked it too (although the boys insisted on Bangers and mash). I am now struggling to come up with something for this week. I will probably, having considered the problem for most of the morning, make some pizza dough in the breadmaker, put out a selection of cheeses and toppings and let the pair of them make their own pizzas. Only problem there is the THW does not like tomatoes ~ they give her a rash. Banghead
But you will note that pizza is made from grain, fruits (Tomato, pineapple etc) and cheese so not meat, fish or vegetables.

I'd do some sort of mushroom pasta thing probably. I was going to suggest risotto but I see you've already been down that road.
