Home made Beef Burgers, mashed spuds, three veg (Carrot, Green Beans, Swede) followed by Stewed Apple and Custard. All my own werk like  whistle:

Plates are being scraped/licked clean as I type ~ busy evening ahead (for some) so early dinner.

(I think that makes up their five for the day)

Call it what you like. SWMBO is at a meeting 35 miles away that starts at 6. and is due to end at 9.
Children all came in at 3.30/3.40 complaining that they were "starving". THW has an internet "conference session" on Geology course work with three friends set up for 6pm that will last until at least 9.30 (or when her mother gets in whichever is the sooner) Both boys have to read to me to get my signature into their reading files to take to school in the morning and their bed time is 7.30 as they have had a series of late nights because of swimming/fencing/badminton clubs, Beavers and Cubs meetings etc.~ so how would you schedule it?

I fully expect to be providing a running buffet of "supper" snacks throughout the evening. ::)

See also regular meals routine at set times because of diabetes. I skipped the normal tea (cup of) with sandwich and/or cake when they came in and went straight into cooked dinner mode. Normally they have "afternoon tea" and then supper/dinner later (about 7ish) depending on activities/commitments but madam's meeting threw that out of kilter tonight.

Having grown up in Spain I still cant get used to the idea of dinner before 9pm.  redface: I never eat before 8 otherwise I get hungry before bedtime. But I imagine that bedtime at 7:30 would somewhat change things.

Does that explain why you sort of cease to function for three hours every lunchtime
