M&S finger food.  cloud9:

We were thinking of doing that two for a tenner thing. All they had left were the sausage rolls and cocktail sausages. No spring rolls, sesame prawn toast, mini quiches, frittatas etc left, just the labels left on the shelves

So, lots of different cheeses and biscuits/bread pickles etc will be the order of the evening

Roast Pork, with all trimmings followed by trifle, then cheese and crackers. Sort of late lunch/early dinner to fit in with late breakfast (following a late night last night) and little boys bedtimes.

We had roast pork and all the trimmings too. Couldn't manage trifle and cheeses & biccies though. I finally got around to doing the roast parsnips with honey (I keep forgetting the honey), absolutely wonderful... sweet, sticky, caramelised at one end, yielding at the other. That's the way they'll be done in future  cloud9:

Whilst I would normally agree the question was a sensible one since I have a butcher on call and would be prepared to get what was needed (as long as this is not simply a whim) and take it round there ~ tho' I confess I find it hard to believe, given the range of local shops and supermarkets, there is no lamb to be had on the Wirral.

I need(ed) one shoulder. I have now hunted one down, thank you. But dried butter beans remain elusive!  evil:

Tesco have them. If not our kitchen does but tinned will work as well without all the overnight soaking etc.
