Somehow I don't think the rice issue will affect the house bricks, straw possibly
Anyhoo, this has got me thinking; a good rice pud's going to have some sugar, milk and some numeg methinks, and will be fairly glutinous. An ordinary rice should do the trick.
Curiously, I had an Oriental meal in a restaurant in Tehran recently and the way the Iranians do rice just doesn't work with Oriental food. They prefer a polished, low gluten rice which is virtually impossible to pick up with chop sticks, unlike the Chinese style rice which sticks together.
Possibly one for the restaurant guide, eh?
