I've just looked at the ingredients listing for the sauce... apart from tomatoes and paprika there's something called Smoke Flavouring. WTF is smoke flavouring when it's at home?  whacky115

Should I eat it or go buy a pack of Rizlas ...  rubschin:

Liquid smoke is something you can buy in a bottle in the states. It supposedly recreates some of the chargrilled flavouring.

We "create" a smoked flavour for meat and fish by placing the meat/fish on a trivet over a roasting pan with a couple of spoonsful of Jasmine Tea Leaves in it. Cover with Foil and Bake in v.hot oven.  whistle:


Next summer I plan to build a smoker in the back garden and do the job proper like.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

We also have wood burning fires in two of the rooms ~ when the wind is in the "wrong" direction everything smells of authentic woodsmoke  confused:
