Which reminds me... when pubs latched on to the idea of St Georges Day as a money-making day way to celebrate our patron saint, they use to advertise roast beef, yorkshire puds etc. In these days of the credit crunch I have seen three different pubs advertising St Georges day events, each one will be having "traditional bangers and mash"
