It's all I can do to get SWWLTBO to put onion on my salad  cussing:

It's not that she wishes to deny me my little pleasures ~ it's simply that if she or her family have never encountered something before then it just doesn't show up on her radar. Her Mother doesn't like fish, she herself doesn't like anchovies so it will never occur to her that anyone else would. Same with onions. She was raised not to use them and she just doesn't understand that others do like them.
