What other option is there?

I love homemade custard, we have a family recipe for it. Not saying it's unique, but it is delish.

There should be a licking lips icon thingy.

Umm proper homemade custard, when I kept chickens would do this and it was nothing like any shop bought 'stuff' used to put cream in it though....Just as well the adult permitted calorie count has gone up in the last day or so. redface:

We had custard yesterday on the baked apples and being as how this is the apple season when kind people give me their surplus something different seemed in order.

Local farmer on his way to chapel this morning gave me a dozen free range eggs  when he called in to pay his advertising bill so we have just had eggs for tea, 2 soft boiled for me, 4 scrambled on toast for THW and Minor. Minimus is egg sensitive and SWWTBO doesn't know what's good for her so that leaves 6 to go with bacon for tomorrow's brekky ~ for some of us. whistle:
