Right, the eels.

I was about 8 years old and had just started to go fishing with my dad and uncle. We went out one day and I caught my first Silver Bream and was obviously very excited and wanted to take it back with me. This was not acceptable so I had to be content with taking a load of eels back to the cottage. they were in an old paint can.
The cottage next door was occupied by a bunch of young people whoe were having a party weekend. There were too many fot the cottage so some were camping in the garden.
About 3am, my eels decided to have a wander. Some of them managed to get into the cottage, others into 1 or 2 of the tents. 1 tent was occupied by 3 girls.
I looked out of the window at what appeared to be a riot.
There was much screaming, mostly somewhat drunken, tents were knocked down and general panic ensued.
We denied all knowledge of the eels.

It still makes me laugh.  ;D

I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.
