Butternut Squash can be very nice. I like it in a risotto with mixed wild mushrooms.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

We bought a small bag of dried wild mushrooms last time we were in Dorset, here:
http://www.washingpool.co.uk/ and forgot they were in the cupboard. Still good as new.
 
Just needed to soak them in hot water for a short while before using them like fresh ones, amazing flavour.
