I could offer an afternoon's seminar on the 74 types of pasta used in Italian cookery ... on second thoughts, forget it.

I agree ~ best save that for a day when we are really bored

Do you make your own pasta? ~ We have the machinery (last seen nestling up to the equally unused Fondue Set) but I have always felt life is too short to p*ss about making the damned stuff ~ 'specially when I see Italians using the dried version that is available so cheaply.

PS ~ Have we done a thread about unused kitchen equipment? ~ I'm sure we must have done but can't find it.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Nope, have never made pasta. Can't really see the point when so many other options are readily available. There's also an Italian Deli ten minutes walk away that makes their own including some delicious canneloni, ravioli, tortellini etc  cloud9:

Good for you Miss D. Does you well to take a day off from being strict with yourself.  happy088

Don't undo that good work though (this of course comes under the heading of "do as I say, not as I do")

Likely to be home-made pates and salad, and for some reason I have the taste for gherkins
