Lunch is in the oven (just)

1 Free Range Chicken for two children who don't like anything else
2x Mallard Ducks for the parents ..... third child will be having some of both he has decided.

Meanwhile Turkey Crown and a boiled Gammon were cooked yesterday for the cold meats bit of Christmas feasting which is actually the one we all prefer.

Woodstock has broached the Tio Pepe "to help matters along" and I have drunk nothing but coffee. angel1

As everyone slept in this morning, breakfast was a little later than planned, I use the term planned very loosely, hence Christmas  lunch has been designated Christmas supper. We will be peeling veg soon but not just yet.  All in all so far a wonderful day. cloud9:

I tend to eat later in the evenings anyway, so Christmas "lunch" is always taken later, around 1905hr's today. Wonderful smells coming from the kitchen. I changed me mind on the chestnut /sprouts recipe Miss T published cos I seen one by Ainsley Harriot (prick with a fork) for sprouts done with butter, garlic, lemon zest and parsley. A bottle of Chateuaneuf-du-Pape will be alongside  cloud9:
