Now that sounds good.
Couple of fried duck eggs with bacon, fried bread and black pudding for brekky...... A day couldn't start any better.

Duck eggs are also eggselento for making cakes.

Ah! Now I will eat it (Beetroot) when it is raw and grated onto a salad. It's once it has been cooked I hate it.

Me dad used to love it ~ cooked, sliced and in sandwiches.  sick2:

This sort of thing:
"For a snappy hot vegetable accompaniment, fry sliced cooked beetroot in butter, sharpen with red wine vinegar, and sweeten with sugar. A good grind of black pepper sets it off a treat. Try serving it with roast pork and rich game dishes."
Bit of  cornflour to thicken
