Lovely bright & sunny day here. Could be warmer but Minor and I have just got back from a drive through the lanes to the creamery. Snowdrops and daffs blooming along all the hedgerows and the old cock pheasants are in full "racing" colours.
Parked up for a few minutes to watch a farmer and his two dogs sorting our some sheep.... presumably some for market and some to be retained. The way those dogs worked as a pair whilst the farmer just sat on his Quad Bike giving the instructions was like watching One Man & His Dog on the telly. Dogs got some of the sheep into a pen and the farmer toddled across and tied the gate on them. Dogs then jumped up onto the little trailer behind the Quad Bike and off they all went across the fields.
Minor said he wished that the locals were less Welsh and then he would be happy to live here forever.
We bought 20 packs of local butter, 5 kilos of local cheese, some fresh cream and got change from £40 ..... does life get any better?
On the way back we stopped again and had a look at the river, plenty of brown trout visible, so we planned our next fishing trip.
One man and his son just enjoying being out together.
Marvellous morning!
