I have to agree with Nick on this one.

The leaves are turning colour, the conkers are falling from the trees, the Swallows and House Martins have vanished and there is most deffo a smell of leaves, bonfires and general Autumness in the air.

So far today I got up to rain, we have had a sunny spell, it is now windy and the clouds are back...... Meanwhile  the resident washerwummun has sniffed the air, studied the skies over Wilf's Mother's, fingered her seaweed and decreed that it is not a day to put washing on the line.

I don't, and I wouldn't anyway as a matter of course, even IF he was right, which he ain't...as ever.

HOW can you possibly like the sight and smell of DEATH, 'cus THAT is what autumn is really all about.

Hateful horrible time of the year, and don't come back to me with all this...."oh, but the colours are beautiful" utter shite either, 'cus what you see there, once again is DEATH, puely and simply, easy as, sad (in my eyes) but true. cry:

How anyone can like the smell of rotting vegetation is also WAY over my 'ed too btw.  sick2:

Umm I like autumn too. For me I think it's partly a hunter gatherer thing.  Loads of produce much preserving. Conkers, I still collect them. redface: I still collect pine cones too. redface: Winter is a different matter.

I have just put some washing out but I know that I will be wobbling outside within the next 15 minutes or so to try and get it in again before it is wetter than when it went out.  It's a great way to while away the long lonely hours....

Umm Where's the washing? Could this be the VP Christmas board/bored game? rubschin:

I WILL agree that the colours do look spectacular, especially if you're high up looking down on the wooded valleys and stuff, but it still makes me feel sad and un 'appy knowing that it's really the colours of DEATH, and all you'll soon be left with are the skellingtons. sad32:
