Cold grey and very still. There is a bull finch singing his spring song somewhere close by, he obviously has not seen the weather forecast for the next few days. noooo:

i had washing out  in the night, jumped out of bed when the thudner started and dragged the clothes airer inside. Broke it, there is now a mess of wet clothes and mangled metal frame by the front door.

I may go back to bed.  noooo:

Got up this morning to a really heavy mist ~ that has now been  joined by drizzle.  so we have "Mizzle".

Everything (trees, eaves of houses, telephone poles etc) is dripping. A thoroughly nasty sort of day.

Log fires are lit ~ not because it is particularly cold but just to cheer the place up a bit.
