Customs are never interested, the vast majority of it goes in the hold and they never see it. There are sometimes some raised eyebrows but the airport staff are pretty used to it by now.

Worked like a charm!  ;) In fact the same security gaurd still works at Malaga and ten years later still recognises me.  redface:

My Dad had a real go at me when he saw what I was wearing though! When I explained it was part of the master "do not ruin christmas" plan though he saw sense!

Twas quite pleasant when I went out, now it's getting dark again.

Ordered some compost to be delivered from local hardware shop, used them for years, always very helpful.

6 sacks @ £3.95 each.

Call that £22 sir, ok with you.

Yes, ta very much.

That's with free delivery as well.

Probably, but there are 2 of us, so one can always pop out for a while.  ;D

Hope it ain't raining cos carrying 75ltr sacks of wet compost is hard work and very messy.

From the front of the house to the back garden. House is in the middle of a terrace of 3, so no side access, has to be carried through house. Awkward but interesting.

When the kitchen was done, the range oven could not be brought house so had to go through next doors garage, their back garden and into ours where a fence panel had been removed. Felt really sorry for the 2 delivery guys, that thing weighs a ton.
