Just want to get out of this place to find out what it is like outside  sad24:

Although the temperature in the office is at volcanic levels ....the Brat has just rung to say she has left her new bag on the bus with her new trainers in it and her purse with ?20 ( which was for her dinner card thing ) . She has since been home and managed to break a vase and also said her room is in a state as she was looking for her purse.

It is a good job I am going to be late home tonight

As I suspected. The only male retains his job. Typical. Bet he told the bosses a pretty yarn about lateness, falling over in the snow, headaches etc etc. B@st@rd.
Sorry Wenchy ~ but I suspect this may be a good thing in the end.
Time to start thinking of other things ~ that alternative lifestyle we have discussed for example.

Not really, there was talk of down sizing the office building and us perhaps working from home which I was v happy about! Then last week we lost a couple of very large contracts and I suspect that was probably the nail in the coffin. The other admin lady, who I am very close to was told Friday that it was happening. She went out and got steaming drunk as a consequence. Tears all round as I left the office. Including the MD. Difficult for him as he views us as his family, they have no kids. Not good in many areas really.

That's how I'm viewing it, or at least will once I've got over the shock. Am going to start thinking about what it is I really want to do and take it from there. I've been saying for years that redundancy would really be the best thing and hopefully it will be a silver lining.
