Drizzling, the sort that gets you realy wet!

I'm having a few days off, the intention was to repair the shed roof, that'll have to wait. I have now been tasked with stopping rats geting to the bird feeders (are you busy GOS). When I got up yesterday morning I noticed that one one the feeders had gone down a fair bit overnight. I shone a torch out there this morning and watched as a rat who had clearly been watching the old Black Label ad jumped from ledge to ledge to get to the seed. All the domes I can see on the web seem to prevent squirrels "and other pests", but none state that they will stop rats

And before anybody says, "get rid of the feeders", this is a "petticoat management" decision

You are never further than a five yards from a rat in this country. B@st@rd filthy vermin are everywhere.
Poison the buggers. People who believe they are "helping the ickle birdies" are encouraging the bloody things.
 cussing:
And another thing ~ how many idots do you see who have bird feeders in their gardens during the spring, summer and autumn when there is plenty of food provided by nature for the birds. The same fools also tend to keep a cat. That isn't a bird feeder ~ it's a trap and puss is very grateful.

Oh ~ and the weather is overcast with some light drizzle but things look brighter out to sea so I expect it to improve as the day goes on.

Most of our arguments are stupid. We had a right set to the other day over a flower pot!
